CARNIVAL IN ST. PETERSBURG by Chemiakin is a beautiful, high quality, suite of five (5) original lithographs published in 1988. The image size of each is 20″ X 17 1/4″ plus full margins. The size of the edition is 250. These are rare lithographs by Mihail Chemiakin and each print is pencil signed and numbered by the artist.
These lithographs exhibit characters in costume at ‘Carnival’ in St. Petersburg during the era of Peter the Great.
They are in mint condition. An original Certificate of Authenticity, with complete tirage information, will be included for the suite and additionally for each piece individually. The retail list price of this suite is $10,000.00.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mihail Chemiakin is one of the foremost international artists of our time. A quote from the Robb Report (Jan. 1995) states “so great are his talents that he is one of the few artists working today who sets the standard by which all other contemporary art is measured”.
He has earned 5 honorary doctorates. The Hermitage Museum held an exhibition in Oct. 1995 of such magnitude that a 7 volume catalog was printed for it.
In the picture shown with Boris Yeltsin, Chemiakin is receiving the ‘State Prize of Russia” for Arts and Letters.
