Elba Alvarez was born in Venezuela where her art became well known and has since appeared in many collections and exhibitions. “Emma” has an image size of 22″ X 28″ plus full margins. The edition size is 200. Her art reflects the unique technique of combining glass beads with ink resulting in a beautiful image.

“EMMA” is a serigraph into which glass beads have been added into selected colors creating an unusually beautiful effect. The size of this print is 22″ X 28″ plus full margins (56 cm X 71 cm) and the edition size is 200.

Elba Alvarez was born in Venezuela in 1944 and at age 18 traveled to Paris to study art, returning to New York in 1968. Her work has been shown from New York to galleries throughout the world and her art hangs in the collections of a multitude of the most notable corporations and private collectors. In 1984 and again in 1986 she created the poster for the world’s largest art exposition in New York. In 1986 she also created the benefit poster for the Easter Seal Society.
